Samuel Jefferson Bunn Family of Clay and Talladega Counties, Alabama

 

Samuel Jefferson Bunn (1850-1940) and his grandson, Jim S. Sexton (b. 1929) in the early 1930's in Clay County, Alabama at the Elurd Atkisson homeplace.  Samuel J. Bunn is the son of Marquis De Lafayette Bunn (1811-1899) and Zina Era Hearn (1812-1906).

Sena Samantha Cole (1854-1930), wife of Samuel Jefferson Bunn.  Sena is the daughter of Charles Shockley Cole (1827-1863) and Martha Catherine Barnes (1833-1921) of Talladega and Clay Counties, Alabama.

Silas Mitterson Bunn Family of Clay and Talladega Counties, Alabama

 

Invitation for the 1991 Bunn Reunion showing sons William and Silas Bunn who served the Confederacy.

Silas Mitterson Bunn (1845-1929), Mary Jane Cole (1852-1930) and their daughter, Vembry E. Bunn (1882-1964).  Silas is the son of Marquis De Lafayette Bunn and Zina Era Hearn. Mary Jane Cole is the sister of Sena Samantha Cole who married Samuel Jefferson Bunn and Silas is Samuel Jefferson Bunn's brother.

 Silas Mitterson Bunn (1845-1929).

Riley Francis Bunn (1875 - 1953) was the son of Silas M. and Mary Jane Cole Bunn.  He was a Baptist Minister and married to Mary Lou Hill (1888 - 1966).

This is the marriage license of Marquis DeLafayette "Fate" Bunn (1886 - 1973) and Jessie Mae Jenkins (1895 - 1950).  M.D.L. "Fate" Bunn was the son of Silas M. and Mary Jane Cole Bunn.

Marquis DeLafayette "Fate" Bunn and Jesse Mae Jenkins.  Apparently some children vandalized this photo by poking holes in Jesse's eyes.

This is the marriage license of Ellis F. Bunn (1894 - 1980) and Lou Amy Watts (1898 - 1960).  Ellis F. Bunn was the son of Silas M. and Mary Jane Cole Bunn.
