The brothers Britton and George Brock served with General John Hunt Morgan's
cavalry on their famous raid into the Union. Both young men were captured
and later died in POW camps. A descendant of Britton's has copies of the letters written between Britton and his wife Julie Anne Waters
during the war of Northern Agression. The letters are in the possession
of Ariella
Jopling.
